It's MY Life - Bon Jovi

This ain't a song for the broken-hearted A silent prayer for the faith-departed I ain't gonna be just a face in the crowd You're gonna hear my voice When I shout it out loud

Chorus: It's my life It's now or never I ain't gonna live forever I just want to live while I'm alive (It's my life) My heart is like an open highway Like Frankie said I did it my way I just wanna live while I'm alive It's my life

This is for the ones who stood their ground For Tommy and Gina who never backed down Tomorrow's getting harder make no mistake Luck ain't even lucky Got to make your own breaks

Chorus: It's my life And it's now or never I ain't gonna live forever I just want to live while I'm alive (It's my life) My heart is like an open highway Like Frankie said I did it my way I just want to live while I'm alive 'Cause it's my life

Better stand tall when they're calling you out Don't bend, don't break, baby, don't back down

Chorus: It's my life And it's now or never 'Cause I ain't gonna live forever I just want to live while I'm alive (It's my life) My heart is like an open highway Like Frankie said I did it my way I just want to live while I'm alive

Chorus: It's my life And it's now or never 'Cause I ain't gonna live forever I just want to live while I'm alive (It's my life) My heart is like an open highway Like Frankie said I did it my way I just want to live while I'm alive 'Cause it's my life!

Alright people, the "triumph" i am referring to is not THAT okay.

Well, I have just got back from Sydney. Lips cracked, nose dry, sore throat and all but with great memories and experiences etched in my mind.

Sydney was wonderful (except for the cold weather)! I was, fortunately, with my best playmate - nature. God, there were great big fields with carpetted grass and i just practically lied on it. It took me a full 10mins to get the rest of them to lie on the grass. People include: Kylie and Jieru.

I love it! I could not use words to describe it. It's just too wonderful and etcetra. It's not even a day, but yet, i miss it so much. I mean, the fields, the flag parade, the medals (i'll come to that later), the people (oh friendly!) and even small little details like the meals and the tram tickets. Such things hold beautiful memories I'll never forget.

Now I'll time travel back to Day 2 in Australia: Competition Day. Everybody was task-focused and that's good. We had only 2 hours to set up everything (exhibition, presentation and scrapbook). Then, big problem no.1. We forgotten to bring our scrapbook... It was left in the hotel. Mind you, it's at least half an hour from Loreto Normanhurst (competion venue). At least, it was not back in Singapore. If it was..we're dead..very dead. So poor Mr. Tan went running all the way back to Hotel Ibis...and back. Problem No. 2. When pasting paper on the board, we didn't realise that we did not paste in proportion. and in the end, the result was a great big crease. We had to tear it down and paste it with the remaining construction paper we had. It was hard work..we practically overturned the whole luggage containing our stationeries. Luckily, we finished on time, and we did a pretty good job.

Time past so fast, and it was Interview time. We went into the room. Oh gosh, it was quite scary. but we warmed up and yea, we did well. The aussies were friendly, their really nice. I think one looks a little like Mrs. O. but sweeter (yea..mrs. o's strict but i dunno. she's sweet ?!?!)

Dinner at LN. It was Chicken Kebab! Juicy and tender..(leevoon's joke!!). Nice. After dinner, me and Jieru went to the big big big big field just outside the canteen. Oh, in Loreto Normanhurst, EVERYTHING is big. The cathedral, the field, the canteen and even the gymnasium. While me and Jieru were lying on the grass, 5 boys came around us and went, "Can we join you?" Jieru and i were thinking sick (lying down, ok??) and we looked at each other, turned back and said no (as expected - SINGAPOREANS). Immediately, we ran all the way up the field, screaming. I heard one of the boys saying pathetically a why. We were being stupid..Aussies are kind and friendly. They don't mean what we are thinking of.

DAY 3: Results and Par-teh.

Come to think of it we have not been sleeping for a whole 24 hours. I'll not go into details. After a tour around Sydney we came back in a hurry to hear the results.

Just before the CmPS junior division results were announced me and arivan started telling Mdm Tan our feeling (you know in AWIT - Calvin and Charles). I said, "Ok, we got an 80% chance of winning." and Ari said, "I got a very strong feeling that we are gonna win this competition." Ok so good, we're confident of ourselves. And yes this was how it went, "CmPS Junior Division. Internation Champion. CmPS J8 from Singapore Nanyang Primary School. Coach: Mdm Tan Bee Bee!" We were shocked but happy to hear that. Arivan and I: do we have telepathy with the judges or something?

Everybody is thinking of the future when we won: TO HAVE A GREAT BIG FEAST FROM MR. TAN! Yea man. Poor Mr. Tan. and yes, we had seafood. yummy.

Next year, We're going to America. America. Woot, yay! Well, almost every teacher knew we won. Zhuang Lao Shi knows. She sent me an email, congratulating us.

THANKIES TO EVERYBODY FOR YOUR HELP AND SUPPORT. OUR GROUP APPRECIATE IT VERY MUCH. THE EFFORT AND ENCOURAGEMENT, BE IT BIG OR SMALL, HAS HELPED US IN ACHIEVING THE INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONS OF CMPS.

Thank you for:

THANK YOU!

In short, this experience in Sydney was enriching and marvellous. I am truly looking forward to the America Trip next year. Hopefully it will be even better than this! /(^_^)/
